  • 10-Step Checklist for Social Media Strategy Success!

10-Step Checklist for Social Media Strategy Success!

10-Step Checklist for Social Media Strategy Success!

    1. Define Clear Goals

This is the basis of your social media management or campaign strategy.

Defining goals (and objectives) gives you direction and purpose and will help you

narrow down the main themes that revolve around your content.

    2. Get To Know Your Audience

This is one of the most important parts of your social strategy. Learn about your

audience demographics, but beyond that, find out what ticks them off.

Ask them what their pain points are, find out what publications they read and

where they hang out. All of this information will help you create content that

really resonates with them and help you build an engaged community.

    3. Choose the Right Platform

Do your research and learn how each social media network works and choose

the right one for your brand.

Is your target audience active on the network? Do you have the resources to

create the content needed for a particular channel?

    4. Create a Content Bank

Now that you have set your goals and you know which networks you want to be

active in, you should create a content bank.

Review all your offline marketing materials and consider how you can support

them online with content. Create or source content that supports your goals Oh,

time and headaches you will save yourself with it.

    5. Identify Right Keywords and Hashtags

A little more research here, but collecting a bank of top industry keywords or

hashtags used by your audience will make it easier to compose messaging.

Finding the right hashtags is the key to reaching your target audience - there are

many tools you can use to help.

    6. Create a Content Schedule

Once you have your bank of content you need to create a schedule.

Based on your purpose and the amount of content you have, determine how

often you want to post on social media and on what day. I recommend using a

mix of live and scheduled posts to balance your content, and to stay current with

industry topics or topics related to your audience.

    7. Set Up Social Media Tools

To help save time, consider using the various social media tools on offer Some of

my favorites for planning and scheduling posts are Hootsuite or AgoraPulse. I

use Bit.ly for link shortening and light tracking.

Everyone will have a choice of different tools, so be sure to try a few and go with

the ones that you understand the most.

    8. Set Up Your Analytics

I like to analyze what's working and what's not across all my client accounts - it's

an essential part of tweaking and improving your social media strategy.

Navigating analysis can be confusing because each network has too many

metrics to keep track of. In general, I recommend that you focus on increasing

your followers, reaching out to your posts, and more importantly, how engaged

your audience is with your content.

You also need to focus on which days and times work best - your timing is

essential to maximize the reach of your posts.

    9. Conduct a Social Media Audit

Practice conducting a social media audit on your channels periodically.

A self-audit can help you detect inconsistencies across channels, review what

campaigns worked (or didn't), benchmarks, and even set new goals that enable

you to continually improve your social media strategy.

    10. Keep an eye on the competition

You can learn a lot by watching others.

See what your competitors do well - and what flops so you don't make the same mistake.

As a bonus - make sure your images are as high quality as possible and consider

creating a theme for your accounts for your advanced users.

  • 10 Tips For Creating Effective Google Ads With a Limited Budget!

10 Tips For Creating Effective Google Ads With a Limited Budget!

Here Are 10 Tips For Creating Effective Google Ads With a Limited Budget!

    1. Set a clear objective

Before you set goals with your conversion goals, you need to think big. What is the goal of your overall business? What is your advertising goal? Once you are clear about these issues, you can narrow down what your actual strategic action plan is.

    2. Build a great structure

Set things up thoroughly from the start and you'll be in better shape to succeed. This means taking the time to curate everything from campaigns to keywords to ad groups to targeted locations.

    3. Rack up a high-quality score

This may sound obvious, but the best way to ensure that your small budget goes a long way is to make sure your ads are top-notch.

Quality is key here. Literally: Google evaluates the bid amount, keywords, and landing pages of each ad and gives a quality score from one to 10. The higher the score, the better your rank and the higher the chances of conversion.

    4. Target long-tail keywords

Long-tail keywords are highly specific and target a business. A generic keyword like "brewery" won't target the people around you who are actually looking for a place to do "some brewsky", as they say.

Instead, try something with your city and neighborhood or even your zip or postal code. Certain products and services are great here too. "Brewery IPAs Vancouver Commercial Drive" is more likely to attract the attention of anyone interested.

    5. Make sure your landing page is optimized

The whole point here is not just to create an ad that someone clicks on. It's about creating an ad that someone clicks on ... and then finds the product or information they're actually looking for.

You can grab the attention of a parakeet fan with your "50% Discount Bird Shampoo"! Google ads, but if they visit your site and only find conditioners for cockatoos, they will bounce.

Not only will the top-end switch affect your sales, it will also affect your Google Ad Quality Score, dropping you to the rankings.

Optimize your landing page for conversions by creating specific offers that you can follow.

    6. Don’t spread yourself too thin

If you only have a few bucks left, spending them on 40 keywords is unlikely to go too far. Focus on your priorities: go everywhere on the most profitable population, market area, or product, and only one specific keyword.

    7. Let automation work for you

Maximize your conversions with smart bidding and responsive search ads AI may not be able to come up with a great advertising strategy for you, but machine learning can help you increase or decrease the bid.

Automation considers everything from the funnel stage to relevance, keywords, and competitors.

Then, it ensures that your bid is increased when your ad has the best chance of success — or drops the bid when your competition is set to win so you don't waste your valuable time and cash.

    8. Embrace extensions

From your Extensions tab in your Google Ad Dashboard, you can add extensions directly to your ad to specify your location, product, feature, or sales promotion.

    9. Think negative

Google Ads also offers the option to input negative keywords: words you don't want to associate with.

For example, if you sell Dolphin Keychain but not Glitter Dolphin Keychain, you may not want to pop up the results of the latter. All the fan-enthusiasts out there will be disappointed when they click.

    10. Measure everything

How do people find your site? Which pages are popular and which searches bring them there? Your analysis contains the data you need to measure success and pattern.

And in Google ads, you'll find metrics that suggest why your impressions, click-throughs, or costs may change.

Take this information, analyze it and use it to inspire your next great advertising test.
